Our Mission

We are dontforgetyourmittens — a crew of college-aged friends, Luca, Kyle, Riley, and Reece, united by a passion for surfing, skiing, fishing, and the great outdoors of Michigan. Our mission is to create media that captures the thrill of these adventures while promoting mental health awareness and outdoor conservancy.

We believe in the healing power of the outdoors and the connections forged through shared experiences. Through our content, we aim to inspire, spread the stoke, and remind everyone that sometimes the best therapy is getting outside — just don’t forget your mittens.

1/24 Update

Recently, we headed out to Boyne Mountain for Mountain Till Midnight, working with a new partner, ActionGlow (more to come on that soon). Unfortunately, the rainy weather cut the night short, so we didn’t film much. The next day, we hit the park to make up for it and had a blast making the most of the icy conditions.

Looking ahead, the next few weeks are packed with adventures. The crew will be visiting some different resorts, exploring new spots, and keeping the energy high. After a big snow dump, Reece took the chance to ski at Boyne with Ryan, seeking out some pockets of powder, while Luca threw down at a rail jam over at Mulligan’s Hollow. Both brought the heat, and we can’t wait to share those stories with you.

Who We Are.

Reece LaPerriere Director of Photography

Photographer & Videographer, Ski Instructor, Surfer, Foiler, and Avid Onewheel Rider

Reece is a 21-year-old Photographer & Videographer, PSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor, surfer, Onewheel rider, and Boyne Country Sports Ambassador. Born in California and raised in Michigan, he’s been skiing since he was three and brings that same love for the outdoors into everything he creates. While studying Marine Technology and Business at Northwestern Michigan College, Reece focuses on making real, energetic content that shows the stoke of skiing, surfing, and adventure. Whether he’s hunting for Midwest snow, clean waves, or new trails, Reece aims to capture moments that hype people up.

Luca Romano Social Media Manager

Luca Romano is a 23-year-old skier and boating enthusiast with a lifelong love for adventure. He started skiing at age two and enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and spending time on the water. He is currently studying Maritime Technologies at the Great Lakes Maritime Academy, combining his passion for the water with his career goals. Whether carving down slopes or cruising the Great Lakes, Luca brings steady dedication and enthusiasm to everything he does.

Riley LaPerriere Public Relations

Skier, Snowboarder, Onewheel Rider, Marine Tech

Riley LaPerriere is a dynamic and driven professional with a passion for technology, adventure, and the outdoors. A graduate of Northwestern Michigan College (NMC), Riley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Technology and an Associate’s degree in Unmanned Aerial Systems, combining his love for innovation with a strong technical foundation.

Born with a natural inclination for the slopes, Riley has been skiing since birth, mastering the art of gliding through snow with ease and precision. Beyond skiing, his adventurous spirit shines through in his love for one-wheeling, mountain biking, and boating. Whether exploring rugged trails or carving waves, Riley is always in search of the next thrill.

Kyle Murray

Skier, Aviation Student

Kyle Murray is a 21-year-old student at Northwestern Michigan College. Originally from Georgia and now based in Michigan, he’s currently undecided in his academic path while exploring new interests and opportunities. Kyle has been an avid skier since the age of 13 and loves getting on the slopes whenever he can. With a strong sense of adventure and a drive to keep pushing himself, Kyle is always ready for new challenges—on and off the mountain.
